Dr. Fawzi al-Ayoubi, M.D, F.A.C.S, EMBA, Ph.D. Candidate,
Consultant in General and Trauma Surgery

Dr. Fawzi al-Ayoubi is a distinguished Consultant in General and Trauma Surgery and currently holds the position of Chief Medical Officer at AMNM. In a dyad leadership Model together with the COO, he ensures operational excellence in the clinical area and plays a crucial role in shaping hospital-wide strategies and initiatives. In addition to his administrative practice, Dr. al-Ayoubi leads the AMNM Executive Health Program.
Dr. al-Ayoubi’s illustrious career spans various continents and roles, underscoring his commitment to advancing healthcare and excellence in provision of care.
Dr. Fawzi al-Ayoubi obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Linköping University School of Medicine in Sweden. He began his postgraduate training with an internship at Motala Hospital within the Linköping University Hospital, followed by a residency in Surgery at Linköping University Hospital, which he completed in 2003.
In 2004, he attended the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) in the USA for a Swedish Trauma Training Program Fellowship, where he continued his specialization in trauma and critical care. By 2008, Dr. al-Ayoubi had completed a Fellowship in Emergency Surgery, Traumatology, and Critical Care (Acute Care Surgery) at Linköping University Hospital.
Dr. al-Ayoubi has had extensive clinical training and has also pursued leadership development. He obtained certification from the Leadership Program for Physicians by the Swedish Surgical Society in 2008 and from the Swedish National School for Surgical Consultants in 2009. Additionally, he earned his Executive MBA from The American Association for Physician Leadership in 2016.
Dr. al-Ayoubi has dedicated his career to advancing medical care, optimizing healthcare systems, and improving patient outcomes through leadership and innovation and proper clinical governance.
